Precautions for shutdown and restart during injection molding
Plastic processing is the general term of various processes that convert synthetic resin or plastic into plastic products, and it is a large production department in the plastic industry. Generally speaking, plastic processing mainly includes multiple processes such as batching, molding, machining, jointing, decoration and assembly. So, when we are processing plastics, if we need to stop and start, what problems should we pay attention to? Now let’s get to know.
During temporary shutdown, the residual plastic shall be sprayed out for several times or other plastics shall be allowed to pass through the injection molding machine to clean the residual plastic in the injection cylinder. If the plastic fades, the number of times of spraying out shall be increased.
During minor repair, the heater of the feeding cylinder must be adjusted to the lowest value to minimize the possibility of thermal decomposition.
Startup after overnight shutdown: Before injection molding of hot plastics, if the machine has been shut down for one night in advance, just turn off the sliding plate at the bottom and the heater of the feeding cylinder to spray the feeding cylinder clean. After the nozzle is completely cleaned, the injection cylinder shall be cooled as high as possible. After the injection molding machine is completely cooled, the equipment shall be shut down, and the injection molding machine will be ready for reheating.
