Automotive headlamp decoration frame mold design and production skills
Automotive headlight decoration frame is one of the most important parts on the headlight, the appearance requirements are strict, the mold needs electroplating treatment. For the car headlamp decoration frame mold, the design should pay attention to the following points:
(1) electroplated parts first to avoid welding wire, because electroplated parts have any welding wire will appear, affect the appearance of plastic parts, the design of the pouring system to avoid welding wire, if the welding wire is inevitable, then we should try to get it to the non-appearance area, pouring system design to pass the mold flow analysis verification.
(2) The surface of the decorative frame is generally designed with a pattern. When designing the mold, we should pay attention to the depth of the pattern of the plastic parts, which is generally easy to produce flow lines.
(3) The molding process range of plastic materials is small, and the surface of plastic parts is easy to produce bright spots and difficult to control. In the design of the mold gating system, the runner should be thick and large. The gate should be fan-shaped. The maximum width of the gate is about 35~40mm, which is conducive to the filling of melt.
(4) Decorative frame plastic parts are easy to appear adhesive mold phenomenon, to solve the problem of plastic parts adhesive mold design prevention is generally:
a. Design the inverted pattern on the inner side of the plastic parts, which are easy to stick to the mold and have strong wrapping force. The inverted pattern depth is 0.5~1mm, and the inverted pattern design is near the rounded corner of the plastic parts.
b. The inner side reinforcement of the plastic parts should be designed where the clamping force of the fixed mold is large, and the reverse hook should be designed on the push rod. According to the characteristics of the plastic parts, reinforcement and BOSS column (commonly known as cylinder column) should be designed on the inside of the 6 LED lamp areas on the plastic parts to avoid deformation of the plastic parts.
