The role of cutting oil in die manufacturing
Cutting oil plays an important role in the mold manufacturing process. The excellent refrigeration performance and extreme pressure wear resistance have made a qualitative leap for the service life of NC inserts and the improvement of mold shell manufacturing precision. According to the different workpiece materials, the performance of cutting oil is also different. It is generally determined according to the difficulty coefficient of die manufacturing process, oil feeding method and degreasing standard.
(1) For raw materials that are easy to process, low viscosity cutting oil can be selected on the premise of avoiding scratches.
(2) For raw materials that are very easy to harden, it is required to use cutting oil with high compressive strength of floating oil and good calcination resistance.
(3) For raw materials with high strength, cutting oil with sulfur chlorine composite preservative is generally used. Under the premise of ensuring extreme pressure performance, it is also necessary to prevent rough edges, cracks and other problems of the workpiece.
